The Next Step of Civilization
Categories: Corruption, Liberty, Other
Arguments that you will hear often from statists of both stripes (Democrats/liberals and Republicans/conservatives) are quite humorous. I find that once their logic is pointed out as flawed, suddenly all types of insults invade the air. Here is a list of things that you’ll find prevalent:
Conservative: Sinner!
Liberal: Dummy!
Conservative: Socialist!
Liberal: Fascist!
Conservative: Commie!
Liberal: Racist!
And the argument goes back and forth, back and forth, back and forth and there is no accomplishment except one. The government that is in power remains in power. And along with that fact, here are a few that go along with it.
A government that is inept in all ways stays in power. A government that is both socialist and fascist stays in power. A government that is both sinner and dummy stays in power. A government that is both communist and racist stays in power. These are the facts.
As long as we’re calling one another “Libtards” and “Teabaggers” there will be no change, except for the change that no one wants. I find that both sides of this coin are no different from one another. Most often, they want the same thing regardless of the paintbrush used against a collective.
Neither side like to see starving children. Neither side like to see homeless people. Neither side like to see war. Neither side like to drive on rough roads. Neither side like to see humanity suffer. Both sides want to see a successful humanity.
The difference between the two sides is that one wishes to use government to push a social justice agenda. The other side wishes to use government as a tool to push the US Empire, religious legislation and other such things. The fact is that neither side is too keen on leaving people alone to their own devices. They truly believe that people are incapable of making decisions; of being ethical and moral. Both sides believe this – perhaps in diverging ways but, still, they both want to force everyone else to live as they do. And both ways are often at odds with one another.
The answer? Stop the pushing. Let people be. It’s quite simple. We need to trust people to do what’s best for themselves and their communities. Let the communities decide how best to deal with poverty in their area. The money given and collected will be provided to the downtrodden without an %80 administration fee pulled from the top. Nor will charities which are held accountable locally give the money they collect for hungry children to warmongering and/or political greed.
Do you hate big corporations? Take away their power – not through regulation but through deregulation. Without corporate protections their power will subside, the market with expand and the product they sell will become cheaper and cheaper. Think I’m lying? You can buy a smaller, better, mobile phone each year. I saw one for $10 dollars today; with better and cheaper service. Why? It is because there is very little regulation which allows that market specifically to provide cheaper product – even to the point of giving it away. Virgin Mobile is offering FREE mobile service using ads at the beginning of your call to pay for it – a hassle perhaps, but c’mon, it’s free.
Do you hate the rough roads in your state? Begin a company that contracts out to your local community and takes care of the potholes and dips. Put the local government road crews out of business and then hire them to work for you for better pay and benefits. Why do gated communities have such exceptional roads? It is because of the market. They get private companies to do it for them. Not all things will work for every community; you know what they need more than anyone. Get to work!
Do you hate that not everyone is free on the earth? Begin preaching the evils of regulatory government. Begin preaching the gloriousness of humanity. Start pointing out, not the bad exceptions, but exceptional goodness of humanity. Once people begin realizing that their need for security and protection through government is unnecessary — the government will become useless, powerless, and a forgotten entity. Remember, that every war, every atrocity known to man, with very, very few exceptions are done through government agents. Whether that government was the church in the dark ages; Lenin, Hitler, Mao, and any other genocidal maniac of the past 100 years; every war in every corner of the earth has not been because of individuals but because of collective governing bodies of every stripe.
The next step in civilization is not more dictatorial government (as all governments will become) because every dictatorship in history has failed… miserably. Rather, the next step in civilization is individual sovereignty. We need to instill in our children specifically (and others generally) that humanity is good. The evil that is seen on TV is not the rule but the exception. They need to be taught that they are able to stand on their own two feet so that they can then assist others to do so as well.
The next step in civilization is not merely collectivism but cooperative individualism. The next step in civilization is not through control or robotic humanity; rather the next step in humanity is unfettered freedom. The next step in civilization is to let people believe what they wish, even pursue their beliefs, and for each individual to hold dear the simplicity of individual sovereignty: do not aggress against others, be ethical, and treat others like you want to be treated. Life won’t be easier because you won’t have people telling you how to engage others; but it will be more fulfilling because the principles you live by will become more and more important. The strength of humanity will become unstoppable and peace will abound.
It is time to stop the Orwellian speak. It is time to embrace peace; it is time to embrace love; it is time to embrace life; it is time to embrace freedom. As I close this lengthy discourse, I wish to encourage all of humanity to believe in themselves for we are a powerful group of individuals!
